Malala Yousafzai is a Pakistani activist for femaleeducation and a Nobel Peace Prize laureate. She was bornon12th July,1997. She is also the world's youngest Nobel Prize laureate, and second Pakistani to ever receive a Nobel Prize. She is known for human rights advocacy, especiallythe education of women and children in her nativeSwat Valley in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northwest Pakistan, wherethe Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan had at times banned girls fromattending school. Her advocacy has grown into an international movement, and according to former Pakistani PrimeMinister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, she has become the country's"most prominent citizen".In 2012 , she was shot by a Tehrik-i Taliban Pakistan gunman in an assassination attempt inretaliation for her activism. She was hit in the head withabullet and remained unconscious. She was joined in the hospital incritical condition . Later she was transferred to UKwhenhercondition was improved. After her recovery, Yousafzai becamea prominent activist for the right to education.
Malala yousafzai co-founded the Malala Fund, a non-profit organisation, with Shiza Shahid. In 2013, she co-authoredI AmMalala, an international best seller. In 2012, she receivedPakistan's first National Youth Peace Prize andthe2013 Sakharov Prize. In 2014, she recieved noble prize. Aged17 at the time, she was the youngest-ever Nobel Prizelaureate. In 2015, she was the subject of the Oscar-shortlisteddocumentary He Named Me Malala. The 2013, 2014 and2015issues of Time magazine featured her as one of themost influential people globally. In 2017 she was awarded honoraryCanadian citizenship and became the youngest person toaddressthe House of Commons of Canada.
